O'Shea Chaplin Academy of Irish Dance - Celebrating 70 Years in 2024!

We have been teaching children and adults modern and traditional Irish Dance for 70 years!

Our director Rita O’Shea began teaching in Galway , Ireland.

She moved to Boston in the 1960’s and continues to teach in the Boston area today .

Our dancers have won solo and team titles at Regional, National, All Ireland, Great Britain, British National, and World Championships.

They have performed all over New England at concerts, festivals, corporate events, weddings and more. They toured in Germany, Ireland, Italy and Russia to rave reviews!

Several of our senior dancers have performed in Riverdance, Lord of the Dance, Rockin' Road to Dublin, Gael Force, Busch Gardens, Downtown Disney and more.

Our mission is to provide a fun and family atmosphere for all of our dancers. We provide small classes where dancers receive individual attention.

We love passing on our passion for Irish dance , culture and traditions to the next generation of dancers .
